LAUREN
& SAMYAK
There’s a certain kind of magic that lives in the forests just outside Sitges. Quiet, grounded, and deeply romantic. It feels worlds away from the coastline, yet carries that same unmistakable Spanish warmth. This wedding unfolded in a historic home from the 1870s, tucked among the trees, where time seemed to slow down and every corner held a story. From the moment I arrived, the space felt alive. The house, with its worn textures and layered history, invited exploration, you could wander endlessly, discovering hidden staircases, shaded paths, and little pockets of light filtering through the leaves. It was the kind of place that makes you feel like a child again, where a game of hide-and-seek wouldn’t just be possible, but unforgettable. And yet, it also held the perfect setting for something deeply meaningful: a wedding full of intention, emotion, and joy.
The day unfolded gently. There was no rush, no sense of performance, just people being fully present. Laughter echoed through the trees, mingling with quiet, intimate moments. The couple moved through it all with a kind of ease that felt rare and beautiful, completely immersed in each other and the people they love. I have to admit, I fell a little in love with them too. Not just with who they are individually, but with the way they exist together, honest, warm, and deeply connected.
Photographing their day didn’t feel like work; it felt like being invited into something sacred. As the light shifted and softened through the forest, everything seemed to glow. Those in-between moments, the glances, the touch of a hand, the stillness before a laugh, became the images I know will stay with me. Turning those fleeting seconds into something tangible is always the goal, but some days carry a little more weight, a little more meaning. This was one of them. It’s weddings like this that remind me why I do what I do and not just to document, but to feel, to witness, and to preserve something real. And this day, in the quiet forest just outside Sitges, is one I’ll carry with me for a long time.
